Jilted lover stalks and shoots at the wrong woman

Jay W. lives in Carmichael, CA in an apartment with his wife.

One evening, Jay and his wife were watching TV in their bedroom while their son and their son’s wife cooked dinner.

Unbeknownst to the family, their day was about to take a wild turn…

Because a man they didn’t know would soon be shooting up their apartment.

The shooter had recently broken up with his girlfriend but couldn’t let it go.

So, he started tracking his girlfriend’s phone, which led him to the apartment complex where Jay and his family live.

According to police, the man “Used his phone to track her to this apartment complex on Fair Oaks. As creepy as that is, he did that.”

For some reason, the man believed his ex-girlfriend was inside Jay’s apartment.

And at first, the man tried to kick in Jay’s apartment door.

After being unable to kick in the apartment door, the intruder went to the bedroom window where Jay and his wife were.

Jay’s wife said, “We thought he was going to come through the window. I mean he kicked the door and couldn’t get in.”

She continued, “He saw me and we made eye contact and the next thing I know I am jumping out of bed because the glass is breaking.”

That’s when the intruder fired several shots through the bedroom window.

But Jay was also armed and prepared to defend his family.

“He is randomly shooting into our room and my husband shoots back four times in a tight circle,” said the wife.

There were three bullet holes in the spot where the wife had been sitting.

Jay said, “It was a good thing that I had a gun,” said Jay. “Just imagine if there was no gun.”

The intruder was known to the police and had a violent history.

He was shot multiple times but was expected to survive his injuries and was charged with multiple crimes.

According to police, the residents had the right to pursue the attacker because there was imminent danger.

A police spokesman added, “That resident’s a hero. Obviously, he defended himself, he defended his property.”

The truth is, there is no better way to defend yourself and your home than with a gun.

As Jay said, who knows what would have happened if he hadn’t been able to defend his family?

And there are many opinions about which is the perfect home defense gun.

But one of the more unusual options is a revolver shotgun.

What is a revolver shotgun?:

A revolver shotgun is a mix of a traditional revolver and a shotgun.

It fires shotgun shells from a revolving, multi-chambered cylinder.

There is no pump or bolt action. You simply pull the trigger like you would on any revolver and it fires the shotgun shell.

The reason these weapons became popular is because they have the advantages of the simplicity of a revolver and a good capacity of shells.

Benefits of a revolver shotgun:

One of the biggest selling points for revolver shotguns is that they typically can handle more than one caliber.

For instance, the well-known Taurus Judge can fire .45 caliber rounds and .410 shotgun shells.

Another advantage of a revolver shotgun is that they have the dependability of being a revolver.

There is less risk of malfunction, and they are relatively easy to use even if you aren’t an experienced shooter.

Plus, these guns can be used for home defense or hunting.

So, if you are looking for an all-purpose weapon it’s worth considering a revolver shotgun.

Drawbacks to a revolver shotgun:

Since most of these guns fire multiple calibers, they have a different type of barrel.

It’s not quite a pistol barrel and not quite a shotgun barrel. Instead, it’s an in-between barrel that can fire both types of ammo.

The result is that some shooters don’t think the guns are as accurate.

Plus, like any revolver, they are limited in capacity.

While the revolver shotgun may hold six rounds, a standard sized semi-auto pistol can hold a lot more.

Yet, shotgun revolvers aren’t the best for concealed carry.

They aren’t huge (you can find them with two or three-inch barrels), but they’re not small either.

And most revolver shotguns are heavy compared to other options.

So, they aren’t the easiest to conceal or most comfortable to carry.

Best revolver shotguns:

Taurus Judge:

The Judge is one of the most well-known revolver shotguns.

It fires .45 Colt ammo and .410 shotgun shells.

The Judge comes in a variety of barrel lengths from two to thirteen inches.

You can also get them equipped with optics from the factory.

There are plenty of accessories for the Judge and it’s a popular revolver.

The Judge starts around $500 and goes up from there.

Smith & Wesson Governor:

The Governor is a lot like the Judge but with fewer options, but you can’t go wrong with a Smith & Wesson for performance and quality.

It shoots .45 and .410 shells and has a six-round capacity.

It comes in two different color options but is only available in a 2.75-inch barrel length.

The Governor sells for about $1,000.

Rossi Circuit Judge:

The difference between the Rossi and the other two options is that the Rossi has an 18.5-inch barrel, so it’s more of a long-rifle platform.

The Rossi has a five-shot capacity and fires .45 caliber and .410 shells like the other options.

It’s similar to the Taurus Judge but is a rifle.

It starts around $850 and goes up depending on the options.

Now, when it comes to versatility a revolver shotgun can be a good addition.

If you can only own one gun or need an all-purpose weapon these guns could be a good choice.

None of them would be my first choice for concealed carry, but in a home defense situation, they could deliver a good amount of firepower.
