Bizarre story: backflipping fed accidentally shoots dancing man

Chase B. is a former FBI agent who worked in the Washington, D.C. office.

He decided to go on vacation to Denver, and one evening, he visited a Denver nightclub called Mile High Spirits Tasting Room.

In a video from the nightclub, Chase is seen dancing.

At one point, he attempts to do a backflip while surrounded by a group of club-goers.

While doing the backflip, Chase’s service weapon fell from his waistband and landed on the ground.

Chase hurried to pick up the gun.

But when he grabbed the gun, he pulled the trigger and fired a single round. The bullet struck a man in the leg injuring him.

Chase was charged with third-degree assault. He was sentenced to two years’ probation but avoided jail time.

Chase told the judge…

“My whole goal in life is to care, protect and serve people. I never expected the result of my actions to lead to something like this.”

Obviously, you and I are responsible for every round that leaves our weapon.

And Chase should have thought about his gun and holster before doing a backflip. He should have known that the gun might come out.

But what about when you’re doing physical activities and still want to conceal carry?

This would be a situation where a holster such as a belly band may make a lot of sense.

As the name suggests, a best belly band holster is a holster that comes with a band or strap that ties around your waist.

The band is usually some type of elastic that attaches with Velcro.

Advantages of the belly band holster:

One of the best things about belly band holsters is that they can be worn in many positions. You can choose where you want the holster by rotating the band.

If you are an active person, a belly band is perfect because it has such a tight fit. It won’t slip like a traditional holster.

These types of holsters are perfect for running or working out.

There are a lot of companies that make belly band holsters. And they come with many different setups.

For example, you can find them with magazine slots, a place for your phone, and other accessories.

And belly bands work with all different body types.

Drawbacks to belly band holster:

One of the most common complaints about belly band holsters is that they can cause you to sweat.

But you can minimize sweating by wearing an undershirt.

For example, when I use a belly band holster I wear an undershirt, then the belly band, and then my regular t-shirt.

Another issue some people have is that the belly band can roll down. But I have never had this happen to me.

With that being said, below are some of the many companies that make this type of holster…

DeSantis Elastic Ambidextrous Belly Band Holster:

The DeSantis can be used by both left and right-handed shooters. It’s also very flexible since it has a 5’’ wide elastic band.

The DeSantis comes in three sizes and two-color options – black or natural.

The belly band weighs only 0.25 lbs and has three different pockets. It’s recommended that the belly band is always worn with an undershirt.

CrossBreed modular belly band holster:

The CrossBreed belly band holster has a lot of options. The band can be adjusted to various heights and draw positions.

You can set it up exactly how you want your pistol positioned.

It includes a hand-molded pocket that is made for specific firearms. This means the holster provides weapon retention even during physical activity.

The band features a sewn backup magazine or flashlight pouch. It also has a hook and loop accessory pouch for smaller accessories.

The band comes with leather or Kydex holster options. And there are about six different color choices.

Comfortac Ultimate Belly Band Holster:

The Comfortac is going to be the most universal and least expensive on the list.

It will fit different weapons. So, whether you have a Glock 19, or an S&W revolver, this belly band can work with your gun.

If you change around your concealed carry gun but don’t want to buy a bunch of belly bands, then this is a solid option.

The belt is constructed of neoprene for added comfort and has a snap retention strap. It includes an auxiliary pouch and an extra-thick Velcro strap.

Like I said, there are plenty of belly band holsters options on the market.

And I would consider adding a belly band holster to your gear if you don’t already have one, they work great during any type of activity.

The most important thing is to find a belly band holster that keeps your gun secure.
