Here’s what happened…
At first, two masked men broke into the home. The homeowner thought it was someone playing a joke on him.
But he soon realized the armed intruders meant business.
The two men demanded cash. So, the homeowner complied – or so they thought.
As he reached for the cash, the homeowner instead grabbed his AK-47 and began firing at the intruders.
He didn’t know at the time but three other men were waiting outside, and as the resident pursued the intruders the three men outside also began shooting.
In the end, three of the intruders were dead and the other two were injured. They were taken to the hospital and then arrested.
The resident was not wounded during the incident. Police say he acted in self-defense and didn’t anticipate any charges.
The homeowner saved his own life that day.
The intruders likely thought the homeowner would be an easy target.
