Buy This Gear Before It Gets Banned

Beginning July 1st, 2019, a new law will take effect in California that requires people purchasing ammunition to pass a background check, also called an eligibility check by the Department of Justice.

In addition, when purchasing ammo in CA every purchase will be reported to the DOJ including the amount of ammo bought.

This new law created a buying frenzy in many parts of CA with gun owners flocking to buy ammunition before the gun law goes into effect. If fact, one San Diego gun store sold over a half million rounds of ammo in a single day.

According to Danielle Rudolph, Director of Sales at a local gun range, “People are trying to stock up and save up now that way they don’t have to worry about it next year.”

The new law starting in July says in addition to a gun permit, gun owners will have to pass another background check to buy ammunition.

Retailers will then have to log the amount of ammo gun owners’ purchase in a database and the records will be sent to the Department of Justice.

Obviously, the situation with the ammo in California is not going away and politicians will unfortunately not stop trying to trample our rights and ban things.

Considering this, I want to share with you the top gear I would buy now before it’s unavailable or simply outlawed by lawmakers.

High capacity magazines. Whether walking down the street or defending against a home invasion, violent criminals often move in packs. There is a good chance you will have to deal with multiple threats during a single incident.

If this happens, would you rather have a 10 round magazine or 30 round magazine? If you live in a “free” state and can have 30-round magazines I would buy more now.

Body armor. Many retailers including Amazon have stopped selling body armor, so you should consider buying a vest before it’s too late, if this is something that interests you.

If you had enough time to put it on during a home invasion, that would certainly be a good thing.

Night vision goggles. High quality night vision is expensive (starts around $2,000) but for nighttime encounters it is a force multiplier like few others. It’s one of the greatest tactical advantages our military has, yet it’s something that can still be purchased by civilians.

Of course, there are cheap options out there, but you get what you pay for. If you were considering night vision, I would look at quality brands such as Armasight.

Sound suppressors. Just like any other gun part such as bump stocks, these can be banned easily. There is no question they can be useful in a bug out situation where you are trying to operate quietly. They are relatively inexpensive and are something to add to your gear before they are completely banned.

AR-15. There is no doubt that the 1994 Assault Weapons Ban was a complete failure and there is no statistical evidence to show it did anything to reduce murders.

With that being said, with Congress controlled by liberals who want to take away our 2nd Amendment rights, they will never stop trying to ban these. I would absolutely recommend buying an AR-15 now, before Congress enacts any new laws or restrictions on these types of firearms.

The reality is, our gun freedoms are always at risk when you have state leaders and members of Congress who fail to understand our most basic rights. For this reason, I would consider buying this tactical gear before it’s banned and impossible to acquire.
